A little High School Story

Started from a Lucky Decision that I made when I was at grade 9^th, I changed from a normal high school to the amazing and unforgettable one. Thanks to my family who advised me and thanks to my uncle who helped me with the school transfer.

Toul Toum Poung High School is the amazing one. Why do I say it was amazing for me? Becuase I met my best friends who always hanged out with me, motivated and helped me. I remember that the first time I met them was at a grade 9^th mathematic extra class during school vocation with teacher Ouk Samanara. After the vocation over, I decided to transfer from my old school to study with them. We studied and hanged out with each other until we graduated from high school. But from now on, we will only hang out with each other :)

“Sometimes” in the past with my high school friends

Sometimes we studied with each other from the early morning and I was always late.

Sometimes we were so happy and played like crazy.

Sometimes we hanged out and travelled together.

Sometimes we got angry with each other, we did not talk for days and then we got together again.

Sometimes we gave nicknames to each other and I still like to call them.

Sometimes we prepared a surprise birthday party for each other.

Sometimes we teased each other until our friend got angry and laughed :D

A little Story from 2009

My name’s Leang Samnang and you can call me “Sam”. I am a university student at Pannasastra University of Cambodia majoring in Business Administration. I am a friendly and patient person who enjoys the new challenges.

My family is always important to me. My kind parents are both successful and have their own construction family business and my 2 hard-working brothers also spend their times to help my parents. In my family, my youngest brother and I are both studying in high school and university. My family love to share a good time together during meal times and holidays.

Talking about recently life experiences:

In the end of 2008 and Beginning of 2009, I was a volunteer youth who organized and devoted myself to help poor children at the satellite provinces.

In May 2009, I was selected as a national delegation by Cambodia Government to participate in the Malaysia International Youth Program 2009 about “Crime Free Generation”.

In June 2009, I was selected as a member of AIESEC Phnom Penh and then was elected as a Vice President of Communication Team in October.

In November 2009, one of 20 potential youths from Cambodia who attend YES2009 'Youth Engagement Seminar 2009' in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia sponsoring by Air Asia.

One day after YES2009, flown back to Cambodia to attend the eX-eL 2009 Conference in Siem Reap. The eX-eL 2009 is the first time AIESEC Cambodia conference.

In December 2009, 1,000 Global Leaders Program sponsoring by Smart Mobile launched successfully and historically for AIESEC Cambodia. The program's objective is to activate, develop and connect the best potential youth leaders to local community.
